What should you absolutely do in Marrakech?
The medina and its souks, the Koutoubia, the Bahia Palace, the Majorelle and Menara gardens, then at least one trip out of the city, to Agafay, the Atlas or the Ouzoud falls. Allow three full days for the city alone.
What is actually worth it in Marrakech?
The interiors. Marrakech happens behind doors rather than on the street: a riad courtyard, a painted cedar ceiling, a madrasa patio. That is what stays with you afterwards.
Is Marrakech safe right now?
Check the Government of Canada's official advisory on travel.gc.ca before you go. It is the only current source, and it is the one we would ask you to read anyway.
What can you do in 7 days in Marrakech?
Three days for the city, one for Agafay or the Ourika valley, one for Ouzoud or the Atlas, and two spare. Aït Ben Haddou needs a long day on the road, or a night out there.
What are the mistakes to avoid in Marrakech?
Crossing the medina at midday in summer, planning the desert as a same day return, and treating haggling as a game to win. It is a normal transaction with its own etiquette.
